Sono Fine Art is excited to present our inaugural exhibition of oil paintings by American artist Joyce Norwood. A native of North Carolina, Joyce has always loved to draw especially the human figure. Her education began at The Art Students League of New York studying under Robert Brackman and William Draper. Later, she was mentored by noted American impressionist Sam Barber while studying at the Cape Cod School of Art in Provincetown, MA.
Joyce paints in oils, using palette knives as well as brushes. Her skillful technique, use of vibrant color and keen eye give her paintings freshness, texture and a comforting sense of nostalgia.
Joyce has won many regional awards and her paintings are in numerous public and private collections. We invite you to stop by the gallery to see these beautiful works.
