Fabio Modica is a Sicilian artist, born in Catania in 1978. Fabio blends abstraction and representation with a dramatic, vivid color palette capturing the eye of the viewer. He made a transition from traditional realism in his early years as an artist to a more abstract style in his recent work.
His most celebrated paintings are close portraits of female faces and expressionist landscapes. They are made with multiple layers of acrylic paint and a combination of powerful block-style patterns and vibrant, thick brush strokes.
He has exhibited extensively throughout the United States, England, Spain, France and Italy; his paintings are included in numerous public and private collections around the world.
