Sono Fine Art welcomes contemporary abstract painter Mitchell Rosenzweig to our family of artists. Mitchell’s dynamic mixed media paintings overflow with layers of controlled chaos consisting of paint, paper, and other materials that create a multi-dimensional surface. Each painting starts with a subconscious sketch, then experimentation with color relationships and textures stimulate Mitchell’s creative process. His finished canvases are often worked on over multiple years.
Born 1954 in West Orange, N.J., Mitchell Rosenzweig received a BFA in painting from Penn State University, University Park, PA. in 1981. He has shown in numerous exhibitions across the country including at the Attleboro Museum, Attleboro, MA, the Moses Kent Museum, Exeter, NH and the Ogunquit Museum of American Art, Oqunquit, ME.
